Wilton House Ltd is a Registered Provider (Registration No 1997746) with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for our three care homes, Lime Tree Manor, Wilton House and Wilton Lodge.
For the purpose of the Data Protection Legislation the Data Controller (i.e. the company Wilton House Ltd) is responsible for and controls the processing of your personal data that is given and may be the occasion this information may be shared with a third party who will act as a Data Processor to carry out specified functions on behalf of Wilton House Ltd.

The new General Data Protection Regulation comes into force on the 25th May 2018, the law makes it easier for you to find out how we use and protect your personal information, the new law builds on what we already do today and how we use and protect your personal information. The GDPR enhances people’s existing rights and obligations which are currently in place with the Data Protection Act, providing you with further protection.
We collect and use your personal information fairly and transparently in providing you with our services, “personal information” is information about you from which you can be identified, such as your name, address, contact details email address, religious, cultural or social identity, financial profiles and other sensitive personal information such as your medical information.

All of our computer operators are given strong passwords which will enable only permitted staff to be able to access your personal data on our computers. The staff never share passwords or re-use them and staff will always log out to ensure others cannot get access to information. Our employees receive training with regards to good security practices.
How we use your personal data;
Wilton House Ltd takes your privacy very seriously and will never disclose, share your data without your consent; unless required to do so by law. We only retain your data for as long as is necessary and the purposes specified in this notice.

Sharing and disclosing your personal information
We do not share or disclose your personal information without your consent, other than for the purposes specified in this notice or where there is a legal requirement.
We share personal information with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), General Practitioners (GPs), Multidisciplinary teams and professional registered medical personnel. We comply with UK Data Protection law, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and all the applicable medical confidentiality guidelines from the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and the General Medical Council (GMC).
We will disclose personally identifiable information in order to comply with a court order or subpoena or a request from a law enforcement agency to release information.
If you receive services from Wilton House Ltd and that service transfers to a new provider, we may share your personal and confidential medical information with the new provider.
How long do we keep your data?
Wilton House Ltd only ever retains your personal information for as long as necessary and we have strict review and retention policies in place to meet these obligations. We are required under UK law to keep your basic personal data for a minimum of 7 years after which time it will be destroyed. This does mean that your information may be retained for a period of time after you have stopped using Wilton House Ltd Services.
You have the right to restriction of processing-where certain conditions apply to have a right to restrict the processing.
You have a right to object to certain types of processing such as marketing.
If you think that your personal information is inaccurate or incomplete you can ask us to correct it or remove it.
Transfers outside the EU
Personal data in the European Union is protected by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) but some other countries may not necessarily have the same high standard of protection for your personal data. Wilton House Ltd does not transfer or store any personal data outside the EU.

You are not obliged to provide your personal information to Wilton House Ltd, however as this information is required for us to meet all of our service users needs in a safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led service we may not be able to provide our services without it.
An invoice will be sent to you or a third party payer; the information may include your name and address.
Lodging a complaint.
Wilton House Ltd only processes your information in compliance with this privacy notice and in accordance with the relevant data protection laws, if however you wish to raise a complaint regarding the processing of your personal data or are unsatisfied with how we have handled your information, you have the right to lodge a complaint to the Registered manager of the care home.
The GDPR brings in compulsory breach notification requirements- we must inform the ICO when we suffer a data breach unless the breach is unlikely to result in a risk to the rights and freedoms of persons.
Wilton House Ltd has the right to make amendments to this Privacy Notice and advise you to regularly read the notice displayed throughout the home to see the changes made.
